SOE - Peer Advisors Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to be a Peer Advisor for the 2025-2026 academic year! Ready to shape the next generation of students? As a Peer Advisor for 2025-2026, you'll guide newcomers through their university journey while building your leadership skills and campus connections. You'll mentor first-years and transfers starting in the summer, represent SOE at key events (including admissions events), and help create an inclusive and welcoming SOE community. Below is a more detailed list of responsibilities and expectations (June 2025 - May 2026).
- General
- Maintain 3.0+ GPA and good academic standing
- Must be on campus during the fall semester (spring abroad permitted)
- Flexible event participation based on your schedule
- Summer Commitments (12 hrs)
- June training session (1 hour)
- Pre-Welcome Week advisee virtual communication
- Student panels at Orange Preview Days for prospective students (local students)
- Fall (14 hrs) and Spring (14 hrs) Commitments
- Welcome Week training (half-day) and Dean's Welcome event
- On-campus responsibilities begin the week before classes start, with some obligations through the weekend
- Support admissions through panels, tours, and student outreach
- Guide advisees throughout year (at least 4 fall meetings, 2 spring meetings)
- Complete year-end survey
